From September - November 2025 I had the privilege to serve as a Maker in Residence for the DPLs ideaLAB at Hadley and Gonzales. During the first session at Hadley I explored texture, typography and the graphic nature of quilting. Customers were invited to engage in basic quilting techniques and experiment with other fiber techniques like embroidery, applique, weaving and more. The final piece was a tapestry of community contributions as well as my own.
During my time at the Gonzales branch I stayed in the fibers realm and wearable/sculpture. This series focused on sculpture through the lens of fibers. I played with texture and dimensional objects using fibers, fabric, and other wearable elements.
